Original Bill of Lading signification and telex release term
"Original Bill of Lading"
Original Bill of Lading are issued in sets 3/3 with the number of originals issued (duly sign in blue ink) always indicated on the B/L. Each original B/L is equal of same value.
The reason of issuing B/L more than one original is to avoid any inconvenience should one of original be lost.
Where allowed and if necessary, sending original Bill of Lading can be avoid by endorsing all original and sending back to the carrier or it's agent at origin place, with instruction to release to the consignee, this is term "telex Release"
